Cookieless website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser categories, and clicks to Steam, Discord, our documentation, and the challenge track download.

This analytics service does not use cookies or persistent browser storage to identify visitors. Vercel derives a temporary visitor identifier from each request; it is discarded after 24 hours. We use aggregate statistics rather than advertising profiles or cross-site tracking.

Page URLs retain only campaign and referral parameters. Other query parameters and URL fragments are removed before analytics is sent. Click events contain the destination without query parameters and the button’s placement. We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, or account identifiers.

Your privacy choices

Our analytics does not load when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can also use your browser’s tracking protection. No cookie consent popup is used for these aggregate statistics. Google Analytics has been removed; this site clears its old Google Analytics cookies and previous consent preference on subsequent visits.

Other services

The website is hosted on Vercel, which processes requests to serve pages and assets. When you follow links to Steam, Discord, or the documentation, those services handle your visit under their own privacy policies. Campaign parameters in website links may be passed to Steam to help us understand campaign performance.
